About Me

Welcome to Grow Rich, Girl!

What started as a faceless quote page on Instagram, quickly turned into a blog dedicated to helping women take back control of their life by creating their own financial wealth and independence.

But let’s backtrack a bit..

After spending eight years as a stay-at-home mom to two kids, it was time to get back into the workforce again, but heading back to a corporate job just didn’t sit well with me. So I decided to start a business online in 2017.

At first, I really enjoyed being a freelancer, working as a virtual assistant, a social media marketer and an ads specialist. I fell in love with digital marketing as a whole, learning how to use all of the platforms, how to grow, how to sell, everything… But over time I began feeling the sting of burnout and the stresses began piling up.

It wasn’t until I had to navigate a divorce and the loss of my mother in the span of one year that I realized I needed to take back control of my life, heal from heartache and find a new path to success.

As much as I enjoyed being a service provider, it wasn’t lighting me up the way it should. And as a single mom, I wanted to have the flexibility to be with my kids when they needed me and not be constantly tired and stressed from client work.

But I’ve always had a passion for teaching.

In fact, growing up, I always thought I’d be a teacher. Only the thought of teaching kids made me shudder!

But I didn’t even consider that I could teach without teaching kids.

Divorce showed me that I couldn’t rely on another human’s income to ensure my survival, and if I was feeling that, then I knew thousands of other women have experienced it too, divorced, married or not..

So it felt right to me to combine my knowledge of digital marketing and my love of writing with my passion for teaching to help other women gain financial independence, build something for themselves and create a stress free life.

This blog is something I never thought I’d begin, but it’s the journey I’m so excited to take.

I do hope you’ll stick around for the ride with me!
